MTV’s Remote Control

Remote Control was a game show that ran on MTV for five seasons between 1987 and 1990. Remote Control was MTV’s first original non-musical program. The idea of the game show was that three contestants sat in recliner chairs and answered trivia questions about pop culture. Players would choose a category (Jeopardy-style) and earn points for each question they answered correctly. If a player was eliminated, they would be pushed through a breakaway wall that was behind them (very entertaining). Remote Control was hosted by Ken Ober.
