Nirvana – MTV Unplugged in New York

Filmed on November 18, 1993 at New York’s Sony Studios, Nirvana’s stripped down, acoustic MTV Unplugged performance is arguably the greatest Unplugged performance ever recorded. The band was in top form and rather than playing familiar hits with acoustic guitars, they opted to play rarities completely redone for the format and covers from bands they admired, like David Bowie, the Vaselines and the Meat Puppets, whom they also invited on stage to play with them.
