1994
Do you remember...
Sega Channel
The Sega Channel was a cable TV add-on (similar to an internet service) that was well ahead of it’s time in 1994. For $14.95 a month (in 1994, mind you), you got a special Genesis adapter cartridge that connected to your TV that gave you unlimited access to 50 games per month. All you had to do was go to the Sega Channel menu and play your days away. Every two weeks you would get a game refresh giving you a whole new lease on life.
