Choco Taco

The Choco Taco was invented by the Jack and Jill Ice Cream Company when they launched their own line of ice cream treats in the 1980’s. The Choco Taco got its name because of its resemblance to a taco. The shell is a waffle cone, but instead of the typical cone shape, it is folded in half to hold the vanilla ice cream, fudge, and peanuts. The product was not introduced nationwide until 1996 when Good Humor-Breyers became the owner/distributor of the product. Today the Choco Taco is referred to as “The Original Ice Cream Taco”, and is sold by ice cream men (and women) and in supermarkets across the country.
