Nintendo Cereal System

Nintendo Cereal System was a breakfast cereal that came out in 1988, three years after the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The cereal was produced by a company called Ralston Cereals. The box featured Nintendo-styled graphics, but also SPLIT-SCREEN GRAPHICS! On one side, we had the game I could beat without dying. Super Mario Bros. on the other side, we had the game that I couldn’t beat because I kept dying… The Legend of Zelda. the cereal was made up of fruity Mario (no Luigi), Super Mushrooms, Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and Bowsers along with berry flavored Link, hearts, boomerangs, keys, and shields. The secret toy was a Nintendo sticker and one of 12 Nintendo “Power Cards” trading cards.
