New Edition
New Edition is an R&B group that started in 1978, but peaked in popularity in the early 1980′s. In 1983 the group’s memeber were Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, Ralph Tresvant, Michael Bivins, and Ricky Bell. New Edition’s early hits included the songs “Candy Girl”, “Mr. Telephone Man” and “Cool It Now”. Successful members Bobby Brown went on to have a very successful solo career, as well as marrying Whitney Houston and becoming pop royalty. Michael Bivens went on to for Bel Biv Devoe, paving the way for artists like Boyz II Men.
